THE MORNING AFTER: Just ask.

Good morning Dames nd Gents..
Woke up to my, ever so popular, Holy Bible app.. If you don't have it, you really need to get up on it..

Before I continue, I just want to put this out there.. To me this blog is nothing more then just a collection of my spiritual thoughts, written down on my iPhone paper.. I'm going to be sharing much more then just hour long teachings(Hours for me.. You guys read through it in seconds) Now its not that I don't love doing it, but What I really want to do is open the door for spiritual thoughts and conversation.. EDIFYING spiritual debate (Cept' not with me.. Two-time debate champ in middle school and at home..) *JOKES*

The last thing I want is a blog where I'm just telling you what I think a portion of the scripture means.. I want reflection, opinion, correction, and edification. I'm a current Med student and the easiest way to learn is through a discussion, so feel free to comment and say what you must.. You never forget when your corrected and you shouldn't remember when your right (HUMBLE!)  Lol.
But now, back to our paid programming..

I woke up to John 16:24, as most of you did and for a second I couldn't stop smiling..

"Until now you have asked nothing in My name. Ask, and you will receive, that your joy may be full. (John 16:24 NKJV)"

Not only is my Heavenly Father willing to give, but he's asking me to give him a chance to give.. I closed my eyes, going over my current wish list, then I realized I didn't really want anything.. Just knowing that Jesus was well prepared to hold me down felt good enough for me..

But this isn't about being satisfied.. What I want to point out is that Christ knows that your needy.. And it doesn't stop there.. He's telling you, "Bro.. I see you got half a smirk on.. Your pushing through #Thestruggle, I respect it.. But come on.. Let me give you that breakthrough you've been waiting for.. Come. Ask and pray in my name so I can complete* your joy."

Can I get a Amen?? ....???
No.. I'm not going to go there again..

A lot of times we act too strong.. I say we but I don't know you.. You might be a super Christian.. I know I* act too strong.. *flexes* that's right..
One of my favorite quotes is "In comparison to Christ.." That there is a tool that's helped me through so much in this walk.. "I lost my wallet.. But in comparison to Christ, man I'm just so happy to be saved." Lets go deeper..  "Jesus! I lost my JOB, Christmas is creepin on up, ain't nothing going on but the rent, but in comparison to you Jesus, I'm going to be alright.."

And it's good.. It's okay.. It shows your perseverance.. It shows your strength, and most of all it shows the source of your strength..(you can worship God with what you choose to depend on) But if you ladies and gentlemen know how to give to your beloved ones, how much more does Jesus? Mathew 7:11

Lets not lose out on the comfort of asking CORRECTLY* for the sake of being the Optimus prime of Christianity.(who by the way is always getting beat up in the movies.. He reaches the brink of his extension and then all of a sudden he still wins.. Idk.. He must know Jesus) Not only is it okay to ask, it's okay to TELL.. Go ahead and tell your trusted ones.. If God chose to complete his desire for our lives using  himself as three individuals, The son The Father and The Holy spirit, why do we get caught up with doing everything by ourselves.. "Man, i can barely get through my day.. school, work, chores, I barely have time to pray but imma be iight, I does this, I'm a veteran out here for Christ, you heard!"

Thank God! I have people in my life I can run to and be lifted up! And Thank God you do to! (Sorry for yelling.. It's to early.)

Your going to wake up today and a couple of you are going straight to the kitchen.. I'm there as I speak. You don't forget to feed yourself because your tummy won't let your forget.. I pray that your spirit doesn't let you forget that it gets hungry too.. Get a bible, Get a bible app, Read one verse, read a whole chapter, read a whole book.. You want to know Christ and you want to hear his voice..? The Holy bible. There's not a preacher, a translator of scripture, not a reflection, not a devotional, not anything else that is more willing to speak to you then his own living word, found right there in the Bible..

If you've found yourself getting along with some extra baggage.. You may be on top of it, and you may be doing just fine, but *knock knock* Jesus is at the door and he wants to help.. He's going out of his way this morning to tell you that he wants your joy to be complete.. Just ask.

Heavenly father.. I can't tell you how amazing it is just to be able to call out your name.. All the honor belongs to you, all the glory, Father all my strength belongs to you.. Thank you for taking me this far, I've walked, I've ran, I've baby tumbled, there we're times where I had to drag myself, but I'm here and it's all thanks to your grace.. Let your grace abound in my peeps.. I know I'm not the only person out here needing you more today, Holy Spirit bless us with your presence and thank you for being ever so available to us.. Teach us how to ask, teach us how to receive your help, teach us how to know you.. I know your love is one step behind me, teach me how to come back to you, teach me how to remain in you. I get caught up with life, I get caught up in playing the roll of superman, but I'm renouncing that today.. I'm vulnerable by myself, prone to fall, but with you Jesus, I know my feet may fail but I know id be carried back home.. Thank you for being so patience, thank you for being so understanding of me.. I love you Jesus and I bless your day.. In Your Holy name I pray.. Amen..

"Now, therefore, you are no longer strangers and foreigners, but fellow citizens with the saints and members of the household of God, having been built on the foundation of the apostles and prophets, Jesus Christ Himself being the chief corner stone, in whom the whole building, being fitted together, grows into a holy temple in the Lord, in whom you also are being built together for a dwelling place of God in the Spirit. (Ephesians 2:19-22 NKJV)"

Now how's that for purpose?
Truth is I could go off with several different verses confessing Gods "first-ness", but I'm specifically drawn to this one.. Why?  It has community written all over it. It's about the only reason I have to relate to you.. This is all I hear the Jesus in me saying:

"Hey! Not only are you all going to dwell in me, on me, not only will you depend on me and make me your foundation, but you know what?! Your all going to do it all together!"

Can I get an amen? .......?
Don't act brand new.. I'm sure you told swiper "no swiping" more then a couple times before, now you don't want to get "crazy." Unless you were still in the world, unsaved and praying to God for swiper to get caught, let me hear you say Amen!

But I want you guys to get this..
There's Jesus.. And then there's you.
That's it.. There's no need for competition, there's no need for masks, no one has to act better then anyone else. We're all founded on the same Jesus, we're all drinking out the same cup here.. But why is this important??

Welp..
Me, myself, I'm Dominican(hold the applause)born in Brooklyn, did a couple years in Brownsville,but I spent my teenage years in Allentown PA..
I'm seasoned..
I am a perfect fit wherever I go, when I have to be excessively loud, I'm Dominican.. When I have to stand my ground, I just so happen to be from the hood.. When I'm going in for a interview..? Im whiter then the portrait of Jesus you got hanging up in the living room..  (Revelation 1:14-15 btw.. Hair like wool, brass feet????? I'm just putting it out there.. See where that goes.)

When I'm home its a different story.. When I'm home, I'm mixed bag of goodies.. I don't know who I'm going to be when someone approaches me.. Unfortunately that's the problem with fronts.. Lack of transparency makes your true person  impossible to see.. There's the Christian who can't stop stressing over there situation with a smile on their face because that's just how believes of Christ get down.. There's the Christian who no longer really cares about there promiscuity because its not like anyone's ever going to find out.." My poker face is just that good."  Masks deny you your spiritual health.. Your not going to make by yourself.. JESUS SENT THE DISCIPLES OUT BY TWO.. But you my friend, your special.. You can do it all by yourself..        :) *sarcasm is of the devil*

But you can't do it yourself. God, our awesome God, he made himself first in all things, Revelation 22:13, yet he still chose to lead by example and SHARED his "First-ness"in three, That ol' holy trinity..

I couldn't tell you what exclusivity does to humanity.. Well I could.. We made ourselves financial classes to separate ourselves.. Our fashion consists of  things that no one else is doing.. (The Lord in his awesomely awesomeness, just so happened to make us completely unique to ourselves just to satisfy that hunger.) Everyone wants power.. Everyone wants to be on top.

There's Jesus.. And then there's us.
There's the rock and then there's us.(on top)
If your talents have led you to believe that Gods grace for you came exclusively from his right hand while everyone else got from the left, then listen up.. This post is for you..

You can use your gift and praise God and be awesome and lose out on your fundamental purpose to help someone else stand firmly on that rock.. You might even be on top, taking up a whole row, and no your not fat but your ego might be occupying free space.. When I read those verses and I see how it says that we're being built together, I think about compression, I think about tightness, sturdiness.. There is no room here for space. If there's a life around you who believes in your rock, there is no room for space.. There's no room for a wiggle, there is no room for a mask, there is no room for anyone to fall.. You should be so tightly packed together that even if you wanted to fall, you'd just end up leaning on someone.. So tight together that if you wanted to put up a mask, you wouldn't get away with it.. Diego's breathing down your neck.. Matter fact, you can't even move your arm.. Someone's in the way. This is why Christ is first, so we can all be second..

I don't doubt for a second that Jesus would have allowed others to be first if he could.. Yup, He was that humble.. But how could he? If we're killing each other to come in second, I cannot imagine us racing for first.. I wonder.. How long until we're running after the next shiny gold thing?

(Just saying, I bind every spirit of ADHD with the blood of Christ!, I need y'all to focus)

I feel like this post is taking forever..
Long story, short..

Jesus.. Our cornerstone, our foundation, out hope, our guide, our light, our direction.. There's one Jesus and he knows all.. His direction works with each and everyone of us flawlessly.. I don't think the number two on a clock knows that there's a ten around there somewhere..and vice versa.. Yet it all works flawlessly, held together by its foundation..

Church.. It's time for us to be clocks..

I do pray that in the acknowledgement of Jesus being first, we realize that we're all called to be second.. We're all called to be built together as one. Jesus.. Name above all names, I thank you for the time, for the passion, for Google and it's blogger, I thank you for your scripture, and above all I thank you for your perfectness. I thank you because your an image that will never decay, your a model that will never grow old, your a cornerstone that will never wither, that will never crumble.. Father your the rock of the ages, and we say amen to your structure, we say amen to your direction, we say amen to your tic, your toc, your rhythm, and your timing Jesus. Who but you my Lord? We love you and we want to know you just a bit more today.. Encounter us. Amen.
